Mississauga (725,000 inh.) is part of the Greater Toronto metropolitan area (6.5 mill. inh.), lying just to the west of Toronto. Hurontario LRT: Along the city's main axis, an 18 km light rail line is under construction along Hurontario Street, linking Port Credit GO station in Mississauga to Brampton GO station in Brampton; utility relocation started in 2019, with the line scheduled to open in 2024.
